2025 Collection Schedules Posted for Refuse & Recycling Services


ROAD CLOSED - The east end of E. Knox St. will be temporarily closed starting Wednesday, Jan. 29 as the Morrison Community Hospital prepares to start their facility expansion project. This portion will be closed for approximately one week.

Until further notice, the City of Morrison will NOT SNOWPLOW any newly graded ALLEYS. During a significant snow fall, the City may use its discretion for plowing alleys. We do apologize for any hardship this may cause during this temporary change in city snow removal services.


The City Council has accepted and approved its Strategic Plan and it's now available to the community! THANK YOU to everyone involved; elected officials, city staff, community stakeholders and NIU Center for Governmental Studies for your hard work, participation and cooperation in the development of this plan!


Alley work is scheduled to begin on Monday, December 16, 2024 in the TREE STREETS section. If you access the alleys between Pine, Cedar, Maple and Elm, along with Park Court Lane, please be aware of this activity. Access may be obstructed for periods of time.

Even though Rt 78 South opened in Morrison yesterday, there is only temporary signage in place. Please drive carefully. There still may be workers along the route finishing the sod and permanent signage should be installed soon!
