Water
Treatment Plant
Water is pumped from Well # 3 through an aerator, the aerator removes
unwanted natural gases by displacing the gases with air and releasing
them to the atmosphere. From the aerator, the water flows into a
45,000-gallon detention tank. Chlorine is added to the detention tank
for disinfection. Two 500-gallon per minute pumps pump the water from
the detention tank to the distribution system. Before leaving the
water Plant fluoride is added to the water. If necessary, we also have a
1,500-gallon per minute pump. All three of these pumps are automatically
controlled by the level of the detention tank.
Well # 4
Well # 4 pumps it’s water to the 500,000-gallon elevated storage tank.
The system is then gravity feed. Well # 4 is automatically controlled by
the level of the elevated tower.
Automatic Alarms
The system is protected by an automatic dialer. If the system should
fail the dialer will notify City crews.
